Brook Trout
At FML Aquaculture, we believe every cold-water pond deserves the striking beauty of the Brook Trout. Properties that feature high-altitude water or cold, bubbling springs, the Brookie is the perfect resident. They aren't just fish; they are the ultimate symbol of a healthy, thriving Western ecosystem.
When FML stocks your water with these aggressive feeders, we’re providing a high-energy experience for your family and guests. Brookies are famous for their willingness to rise to a fly and their stunning, fire-orange bellies during the autumn months. Our stock is chosen for its hardiness and 'wild' instincts, and thanks to our specialized FML transport system, they arrive at your bank healthy, acclimated, and ready to strike. Choosing FML Brook Trout means choosing a legacy of color and action for your private fishery.

Native to the cold, clear streams of Eastern North America, the Brook Trout is technically a member of the Char genus (Salvelinus), making it a close relative of the Arctic Char and Lake Trout. Described by naturalists as the most beautiful of all salmonids, they were the first trout species to be widely protected and managed in the United States. In the late 19th century, they were transported west by the bucket-load via "fish cars" on the transcontinental railroad. Today, they are the state fish of nine U.S. states and remain the ultimate symbol of pristine, wild water.
